Guess the playerDaily · #1

One legend a day. Eight guesses.

Every guess tells you how close you are — position, era, team — and the board keeps a running “known” line so you never re-read the grid. Same player for everyone, new one at midnight ET.

The daily sports guessing game — every sport

This is the guess-the-player game played across nine sports from one page — including the first daily player-guess for the WNBA. The pools are legends-only (a guessing game dies on “who?” answers), and the clues adapt to each sport: era, position and franchise everywhere; height where the record supports it; nationality for the global games.

Beyond the guess

When you’ve got the name, play the rest of it: the same legends fill the Daily Draft, the $15 budget squad, the all-time boards on every game surface, and the perfect season game. New here? How to play.

Questions people actually ask

How does Guess the Player work?

One player a day per sport, eight guesses. Every guess reveals how close you are on the clues that sport supports — position, era, team, how many clubs they played for, and where the data is deep enough, height and nationality. Green is a match, arrows point toward the answer, and a KNOWN line keeps the confirmed facts in one place.

Which sports have a daily player guess?

Nine boards a day: football, basketball, WNBA, cricket, baseball, college football, hockey, soccer and golf — including the first daily player-guess game for the WNBA.

Who can the answer be?

The pools are legends-only on purpose — players with a Hall of Fame case or an elite peak. A guessing game dies on “who?” answers, so every answer is someone a fan of that sport can actually get.

When does it reset?

Midnight Eastern, one new player per sport per day — the same answer for everyone, so streaks and share grids are comparable.

Is it free?

It plays in the browser, no account — your streaks save to your device.
