What this is
Draft Challenger is the all-time sports draft challenge — 11 sports, one game. Every round spins a real franchise era (a city and a window of years), lays out that squad with real season statistics, and you build the roster seat by seat. Then a full season simulates, and the record on the board is the verdict. A perfect season is meant to be earned: most finished runs fall short. Hundreds of franchise windows per sport reshuffle across fresh runs, so there is no fixed draft order to memorize; knowing the sport is the whole edge. The deliberate exception is the Daily, which deals one shared board so everyone competes on the same spins.
How it’s built
Everything on a card comes from the public historical record, and every player-season is judged against its own era, so the fifties and the present day can share a board honestly. Teams appear as city and years only. The method is public: how the ratings work. The game itself plays in the browser — no install — with a new shared board every day.
Who makes this
Draft Challenger is built and maintained by a small independent team. We started it in 2026 to make the draft game we wanted to play, and we keep it current: a new shared board every day, and the ratings, record book and guides revised as the data changes.
