Spin random real MLB stars, take one trait from each, and see how your hitter rates.
You build a hitter. Every spin brings up a real MLB position player, with his best season waiting on each open trait, from batting average and home runs to steals, the glove, walks, strikeouts, doubles and runs batted in. Take one, spin again, and fill all eight.
No. Every MLB build is a hitter, so pitchers never spin. Catchers through designated hitters all do, and Glove judges each one against the regulars at his own position that season, so a shortstop meets shortstops.
Any of 1,575 real MLB hitters, with careers from 1871 to 2025, Negro Leagues stars included. The spin favours the famous names, and the deep past of the game still turns up.
Contact is batting average and Power is home runs per game. Speed adds stolen bases and triples per game. Glove compares fielding with the regulars at the same position, and a Gold Glove, awarded from 1957, lifts the season. Eye is how far on-base percentage beat batting average, which is the walks. Bat Control rewards few strikeouts per at-bat, Gap Power counts doubles per game, and Run Producer counts runs batted in per game.
