DRAFT CHALLENGER

Spin the NBA team wheel.

Every current franchise on one wheel. Spin it, take your team, then draft its all-time five and let the record prove it.

30 teams on the wheel

Now build that franchise’s all-time five. The record settles it.

Questions people actually ask

How does the NBA team wheel work?

One wheel holds all 30 current franchises, fifteen from each conference. A single tap spins it with cryptographic randomness and eases out onto exactly one club — equal odds for every segment, every time.

Can I use it to pick a team for a rebuild or challenge?

That’s the classic use. Spin once, take whoever lands, and commit — for a rebuild run, a "new team to follow" pick, or a group challenge where everyone lives with their spin.

Can I spin without getting the same team twice?

Turn on "no repeats" and every spin removes its result from the pool until all 30 have come up, then the lap resets. Perfect for assigning teams around a group.

Can I exclude certain franchises?

Yes — uncheck any franchise in the team manager and its slot leaves the wheel completely. Use East or West to work through one conference, or trim the field to your own shortlist.

What happens after the wheel picks my team?

The real game starts below: draft that franchise’s all-time greats seat by seat and watch a full 82-game season decide whether your five was as good as it felt.

Does it cost anything?

No. The wheel, the draft board, and the season result are all free in the browser, with no sign-up step.

Is the NBA wheel weighted toward better teams?

Flat odds, every spin. Basketball is the sport where a handful of franchises hold most of the titles, so an unweighted wheel is deliberately at odds with the history — you are as likely to draw a club that has never won as one that has won sixteen times.

How many NBA teams sit behind this wheel?

60 franchises sit behind the spin, including clubs that relocated or folded. That is more than the league currently fields, because the board keeps the versions of a city that no longer exist.

What does a NBA spin actually tell you?

Nothing beyond the name. The judgement happens on the board below, where a season carries its real scoring and playmaking lines plus All-NBA selection — the honours being the part that survives comparison across eras of wildly different pace.

Can the same NBA team come up twice, or is it elimination style?

Spins do not exclude what has already landed. With thirty-odd clubs a repeat inside a few spins is ordinary rather than a glitch, and for an elimination game you track the used ones yourself — the odds stay flat so no club becomes more likely just by surviving.
