NBA grid questions
What conditions show up on the NBA grid?
Franchises carry it, and around them sit the draft round, the position, and the named awards — Most Valuable Player, Rookie of the Year, Defensive Player of the Year, Finals MVP — plus counted All-NBA and All-Defensive selections.
Are career totals used?
They are: the round numbers the record book itself treats as milestones, like twenty thousand points or a thousand games. A milestone condition is a counted threshold, never a judgement about who was good.
Does it use international players?
Yes. International and American players in the recorded league pool can qualify. Country fields that do not establish a birthplace are not used as birthplace clues.
Which basketball players can you use on the NBA grid?
Everyone in the recorded NBA pool, and it is a short list by design: basketball rosters hold a dozen or so players where football holds fifty, so a franchise square has fewer names behind it than a club square in a roster sport. That is why franchises carry this board, and why the answer you cannot place is often a single late-career season.
How do selections and the Hall of Fame work as squares?
A selection square can want one All-NBA or All-Defensive nod, or a career with several of them. The Hall of Fame stands on its own, and so does the decade a player was drafted — the draft, not the debut, because the draft is the dated event the record keeps.
Can a square ask how long someone played?
Yes, in seasons counted across every team: eighteen of them, fifteen, ten, or five. Beside that sit the round totals the sport quotes: five thousand assists, ten thousand rebounds, fifteen hundred three-pointers.
Which leagues besides the NBA have a grid?
Nine more: MLB, the NFL, the NHL, cricket, soccer, the AFL, the WNBA, college basketball and college football. More NBA games: NBA Wordle, NBA Connections, Build an NBA Player, NBA Career Simulator and NBA Team Wheel. NBA Trivia Quiz asks three questions a day. Guess the NBA Team asks for the city of one era’s players. The NBA Ball Knowledge Dive asks for one right name, and the less obvious it is, the more it scores.
